Duties performed by Soldiers in this MOS include Maintain and repair electrical/fuel heater systems, pumps, decontamination systems, protective filter systems, reverse osmosis water purification systems, laundry washer/extractor systems, and dryer/tumbler systemsService internal combustion engine ignition/fuel/cooling/electrical systemsPerform damage assessment and repair Training Information Job training for a quartermaster and chemical equipment repairer requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instructions. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field, including practice in marine e ngine maintenance and repair.
